Apparently there has been some changes on WordPress concerning their comments and now I have problems whereas I never before had ANY problems! All comments are now asked to sign in with a WordPress account or Facebook or Twitter or Gravar accounts to be able to comment!I apologize for this ridiculous problem. I have no solution at the moment. All I can suggest, is that you click the LIKE button if you are unable to leave a comment, or send me an email to rvanwykatfreedotfr. Hopefully WordPress will realize that this change is a huge mistake! I have always boasted with WordPress being a GREAT host, I even changed from Blogger a few years back and never regretted one minute. I am not a whiner/ranter, but at the moment I am not a happy camper…
I would like to know how severe this problem is…if you have a moment to spare, please leave me a comment…just say “test without WP” so I can know that you were able to comment without a WordPress account. If not possible, please send me an email to rvanwykatfreedotfr. Thank you and pleeaase don’t leave me…I SO love all your little stories, whether in an email reply or comment or Facebook/Twitter…I always love it!
I’m indulging in a few of my older images, which will hopefully lift my spirit and I hope you enjoy!

It seems a strange idea on on the part of WordPress to assume that everyone is going to have a twitter or facebook account or that they’ll need one to comment on blogs. I don’t use twitter of facebook and I’ve no real interest in starting but I do want to comment on blogs. In the end I got so fed up not being able to leave comments that I created a WordPress account. I imagine that a number of people won’t bother which is sad for blog writers. I love that Laurier sign, by the way, and that’s a great door handle.

@ Gloria: thank you and I really want to clear this up…I hate problems!
@ zoe: you got through with your blogger account…amazing! Thank you. I love your expression:” my sore back agrees with the season, it seems to be April”. It says it all!!
@ Strongassoup: I completely understand your frustration..that is where I am with blogger who wants to force me to use my google account. and now WordPress is doing the smae…so sad. And you’re right, most of the people who emailed me, don’t use either Twitter or Facebook or anything else, they are only visitors! I admire you though for going through all the trouble to start up a WordPress account, but on behalf of all wordpress bloggers…thank you!

I’m testing to see, but I think I restarted a WP account recently just so I could leave a comment on someone’s blog. It’s annoying to have to do this, I heartily agree.

Yes, I had to have a WP account to post the above… and this one. Awful policy.

@ Laura: thanks Laura. Unfortunately it seems this is the way it is going to stay which has me considering moving. Not to Blogger, that is for sure. Or else I will just stop blogging.

Seems like a duel between Blogger (use your google account) and WordPress (use this account)
Apparently, it is something to do with some people having a Gravatar (and that little sucker came in under the wire!)
A friend posted a link that may help, but I can’t find it. I’ll email her and get back to you.
Commenters can also comment by filling in details in the grey box below.I’ll use a blogger blog for this comment.

I have a WP account now (for my poetry blog) but before that, I did have trouble and was VERY frustrated. I created a gravitar for Folia without realizing it was a WP thing. That allowed me to comment. I’m keeping my Aspen Meadows blog on Blogger even tho I prefer WP so people can comment.

@ Karen allison; Thanks..it seems you don; have WP account or bloggewr and you succeeded…there is hope after all?
@ Annette: Yes the gravatar and email addresses are the culprits! Thanks for your help.
@ Barbara: thanks…your previous message also posted. Sorry for the problems!
Thank you everybody.
Unforunately this is out of my hands and it doesn’t look like it is going to change. I will have to the one to change or accept…!

Wow, it let me leave a comment, even remembered who I was, and I’m on Blogger. So, it worked Ronelle. Know this is frustrating. If you remember, Blogger has problems from time to time too.
I’m crazy about that antique urn.
